How Blue Jeans are made

The complete Manufacturing process includes:

Firstly the cotton is examined before starting the process of carding. Carding is the process where cotton is processed through machines with bent teeth wired brushed called the cards. This process helps in cleaning and gathering the cotton together.
Before the denim gets woven it is dyed with indigo which is chemically synthesized. Various layers of dye are made across the Denim by dipping it to the dye several times. It is one of the reasons why blue Denim gets fade after wash.
2. After the carding the cotton turns into sliver. The various slivers are the combined together and pulled and twisted to make the threads stronger. After that the threads are passed through the spinning machine to turn these fibers into Cotton yarn.
3. After the cotton fibers turns into yarn, it is then dyed unlike other cloths. The dye is usually chemically synthesized indigo. The Denim is dipped several times into the dye so that it forms several layers of the dye across the fabric.
4. After the dyeing process is over, the yarn is made stiffer and stronger by coating it with sizing which is a form of starch. After completing this process the yarn is then woven.
5. After the process of dyeing and coating, the yarn is put into large mechanical looms for the process of weaving.
6. After the process of weaving the denim is almost complete. The denim is then treated and brushed to remove any lose thread or lint.
